Question:

Gift Ideas for Dads Birthday?

G’day all,

So my Dad’s birthday is just around the corner and I am sick of buying the usual, much expected, ‘tools’ from Bunning’s.

Does anyone have any unique ideas for something completely different?

My partner came up with the idea of a Coffee Tasting Kit he heard about through a ‘gift in a box’ website. This is it.

  1. I just answered another one of your questions.  I have a similar answer.

Dads are hard to shop for so I get them the Guy Gear Gift Collection Ensemble. It is a great selection of “boy toys” for his workshop, den, office, and more. There are many other different themes to choose from and there is no price amount on it when you give it to him. Just an album of gifts for him to choose from. They just pick the gift, go online and say that is the one they want. They pay nothing. Just go to http://ribbon.arcameda.com and search around. When you go into an album, click on "View the Gift Collection" to see what the album contains. There are two ways to give them the gift, as an album with a gift card or just as a gift card.

    Some other ideas.

Luxury Gift Collection Ensemble which features a lavish offering of items for relaxing, cooking, fun, fitness, and more.

Delicious Gift Collection Ensemble that offers him a fabulous selection of delectable food items and handy cooking essentials.

Ribbon Variety Gift Collection Ensemble ($25) that offers a great selection of exciting items to make life more pleasurable, convenient – and fun.

and my favorite Ghirardelli Gift Collection Ensemble which is for chocoholics.

  2. the best gift will be the one with heartfelt thought behind it.  i know most people think homemade gifts are corny but hear me out.  what is your fondest memory of growing up with your father?  something only you and he shared?  perhaps you could recreate that memory or create a basket with momentos that signify the happiness you shared with him.  i enjoy giving "blasts from the past".  is there a particular show or movie your father always talked about viewing when he was a child?  or that you both watched together?  so many television series are now available on dvd.  perhaps he has an old record collection that you can now get on cd or mp3 format.  is he a sports buff?  tickets to a game or even a day for himself fishing with a basket holding everything he would need for his day "off".  these are just some ideas - only you know your father well enough to know what he would most enjoy.  just remember, the best gifts don't have to cost a lot and come from the heart.  hope that helps.
