Gift certificates. I am fixing to get $1500 in $100 gift certificates from my credit card company.

I am fixing to get $1500 in $100 gift certificates from my credit card company. How can I use these online to purchase a television? The television I have in mind is more than that and the rest would have to be put on my credit card. Is this possible to do online or does this have to by going in the store and purchasing it?
