Gift for an exchange student?

I am looking for a Michigan/American gift to give to a very close friend who is an exchange student from Hungary.

Something native american would be lovely....  The Chippewa tribe is in the Saginaw Michigan area... Something handcrafted by them would be a truly Michigan/American gift!

if it is a female...probably jewelry/handbag/clothing. I know my family loves Victoria secret or bath and body works lotions, soaps, perfumes.

If it is a male..I would say clothing or something connected with sports, nascar, football...depends on his interests.
