Gift idea desperately needed for work-related Bachelorette party.?

Please help!! I'm new at work and I'm attending a work related bachelorette party on friday. Dinner and drinks... but I'm supposed to do the following:

"You have one task: to bring a very small gift with you (costing no more than $5) that Jen and her husband-to-be will find useful/funny/heart-warming (or all three). This gift will be given to Jen during dinner and must be accompanied by a story about Jen--either in terms of how she might find your gift useful, or about how your gift is symbolic of some aspect of your relationship with Jen or of some dimension of Jen's personality etc.

I'm new at work... what should I bring? I want to bring something clever.

Well, obviously you don't know Jen that well, so you have to pick something that you think would be useful/funny/heart-warming for any couple.  Bachelorette parties are usually a little raunchy, but you don't know what her tastes are yet or how easily she might be scandalized.  What you bring will also affect how your coworkers see you from now on, so I wouldn't suggest anything too outrageous.  Go for funny or sweet, rather than provocative.

I suggest a nice little journal, maybe one that is dated.  Suggest that Jen leave it in a shared spot - the bedroom, the bathroom, etc - with a pen handy.  Both Jen and her husband should make it a point to write something in it each day or week - just a few lines about what they love about their spouse or something nice their spouse did that day,  "I love the way Jen makes French toast.  I always get excited the minute I hear Joe's car pull up and I know I'll be seeing him in just a minute."  Or maybe get two journals, and then they swap at their one year anniversary and read it over.

I love the journal idea! Thats the most amazingly cute thing ever!

Some other sweet ideas wold be some nice smelling candles for the honeymoon, some cute,yummy recipies, or an address book they can fill with all their friends and familys numbers!
