Gift idea for teenage girls...?

Question

I've got a sister who's 15, a step-sister who's 16, and a niece who's 15.

I had an idea for their Christmas gifts, but I'm afraid it might be lame...HELP!!!

I thought I'd make them throw blankets and some matching pillows, or maybe like a whole "bed in a bag thing", with decorated sheets and pillowcases to go along with the throw and decorative pillows.

Is this lame? I'm trying to save money, and gift cards can get expensive, as can electronics and such.

Last year I made them all "beauty kits" with bath salts and facial scrubs,and they seemed to like them a lot, but I thought I'd try something new. Answers would be GREAT!!

Im 15 and my family struggles on picking out presents for me so to make it easy on them and me, and i just ask for  money or gift cards=]

Its much easier then trying to pick out something u might or might not like.

A fleece tie blanket would be nice. Good fleece is expensive, but it always goes on sale. I would wait for a 50% off sale at JoAnns and get the fabric then. You could make a matching pillow. How about adding a book(or magazine) and a mug with hot chocolate mix and peppermint sticks.  A whole winter nights package.

My 17 year old daughter is always curling up in her bed with her fleece blanket-as are the cats.

have you priced sheets lately? A sheet set, with throw and pillows is going to run you a good price.

omg [oh my gosh] that'd be so cool!

but you might want to get some more back round info [if you don't already]... what i mean is, like what is each one's favorite color, animal, thing, theme, etc, etc, etc...

whatever to personalize it for them would be great!

Also, finding out what their rooms look like [if you haven't already] and going with what theme they already have would be great

It seems they might like the blankets and pillows. I would personally don't like that, but I'm a guy. It seems they would like your gift. Just go with your intuition.

i think you should make them watever you think they will like that is obviesly a gift from the heart and anybody would love it
