Gift ideas for 3yr old, and 22yr old?

Question

Two questions really~My nephew is turning 3 next week and I have no idea what to get him. He has everything! Suggestions? Also, me and my hubby weren't planning on getting his sister a present this year. She's turning 22 and we think she's a little old to expect gifts from her entire family. However, she told me she got me a gift for my upcoming bday. I know she didn't get me a gift just so I'd get her one. I am very appreciative, don't get me wrong. It's just that now that she's told me this its likely that she'll be expecting a gift in return. She has champagne taste on a beer budget, too. Her boyfriend and mom indulge her, but we're not going to. So what now? I don't want to insult her, but I don't know what to do.

How about two tickets to a movie so they can go together...Maybe a box of licorice  or gummy bears for them to take with them... There are very cute movies that both of them would like...

For the 3 year old, you can get Crayola Wonder Marker Set... they are fantastic!  I love them for my 3 year old.  Target, $8.99

For the 22 year old...  I'd find a pedicure set while I was shopping at target... something small.  Do not feel you have to compete with her boyfriend or mother.  And next year, give her PLENTY of notice that she does not have to buy you anything for your birthday, it's just silly.

For the little one I would suggest anything with Cars (the movie) all little boys that age seem to love Cars lol.

As for the older one why not get her a nice (but not that expensive) set of like wine or champagne glasses & either some wine or Champagne or money in the glasses? (That's what my mom dose for everyone she doesn't know what to get for money or booze lol)

I had to get my sister in law a christmas present  with pretty much the same problem. I got her a visa prepaid card that she could use anywhere, and I put it in with a gift card to a spa. She loved it. No idea about the 3yr old sorry.

Some gift ideas for your nephew, something small but collectable. Maybe a train set or something, he won't really be able to play with it now, but as he gets older he can add to the collection and by the time he's a young adult could have a nice collectable set. Clothes are always good gifts too.  Or you could buy him something educational, if he has access to a computer, perhaps a computer cd that teaches him to count, or basic letters etc. Perhaps a kids jigsaw puzzle, or game of some sort.

For your sister in law, a gift voucher is always a good option. She can put the money towards something she likes. Other ideas though, a nice photo frame with a family photo in it, a hand made gift (scrapbooked album or something similar), a bunch of flowers & some money, something to pamper herself (eg bath bombs, soaps, face masks etc)  or a cd of some music she likes. (I'm 20, and any of those ideas I would like, so hopefully that's given you some hints)

Hi for my three year old cousin who by the way also owns every toy in the world last year we got him a game and i know that sounds incredibly boring but as he looses interest really quickly  it was a game where you have to do things like putting balls in holes and lifting up flaps. This year we are getting him a dressing up otfit and last year we got him a castle. Hope this helps.

for the 22 year old, get her 2 tickets to see a band she likes (not just one, because no one likes to go to a concert alone... and it's probably not safe to go alone anyway)

or get her a subscription to a wine of the month club..

perhaps a gift certificate to a store she shops at often.

for the 3 year old:

get him something interactive- toys, a small bike or scooter, if your budget is high enough maybe a power wheels car.

you could also get him a board game... or if he has a game console, get him a game that would be appropriate for his age.
