Gift ideas for five year old girl?

My niece is turning five this weekend and I am still stuck on what to get her. She loves things that she can use, she has asked for picture frames (which have been purchased) and a couple stuffed animals. Any creative ideas would be great!

Get her an arts and craft set.  She's at the age where she would probably love to make necklaces and bracelets.  Or you can get her a child make up kit.

My daughter will be 5 next month, and she LOVES anything to do with My Little Pony, Barbie, Dora the Explorer, Disney Princesses or coloring supplies like Crayola Color Wonder (the ones that don't make messes, which I'm sure her parents would appreciate). Also, movies are great. I've gotten my daughter a new Disney movie on her birthdays and Christmases and she loves watching them all. It's really sweet that you want to get her the perfect gift. Hope your niece has a Happy 5th Birthday.

There are a lot of creative things you can get her.  Just check out the toy isles at the stores.  There is Moon Sand, playdoh,color by numbers, braclet makers, hair twisters w/beads.  There is also the stuffed animals/creatures that you color on with special markers and when you are done with them, you throw the animal in the washer and it is clean again.  Take her to Build a Bear and let her create her own stuffed animal.  Good Luck, I am sure she will like whatever you get her.

Hanna Montana is a good idea, but if she likes to use things, go to Walmart or Hobby Lobby or somekind of arts and craft store and buy her a bead kit where she can make her own jewelry, or get her some paint supplies so she can make her own artwork, anything from the arts and craft store I bet she would love.

You could get her a jewlelry box and fill it up with play jewelry

You could get her a fish that she can take care of.

Hello Kitty store rocks! They have GREAT crayons that you twist up - kinda like pens - they have been fantastic, and clean. You can definitely put together a cool bunch of stuff from there.  If she is into princesses at all, maybe a dress up trunk with princess stuff inside. My daughters friends go straight for the trunk when they come over and all dress up and act crazy.

Way too young for Hannah Montana if you ask me!

You should check out these neat little books by a company called "Chicken Socks" (actually, I think the company is Klutz and the line of books is called Chicken Socks).  They are great craft-y books for kids this age.  You can get them on Amazon...do a search for Chicken Socks.  I have given the "making tiaras" one to several 5-year-old girls and it was a big hit.

if you want to do something creative focus on her. get her another picture frame but inside put a picture of u and her and on top still in the picture frame put a small stuffed animal holding her favorite candies or something.  and also b uy her some art supplies or frame decorating kit(in walmart) or stickers so the present goes todether
