Giftcard question?

I'm looking to buy a $100 gift card to use online. I'm debating between Visa and American Express. American Express has a fee though. Which is better?

Visa is the better option because of the fee in this situation.  Even though American Express is becoming more popular these days, many companies still do not accept it or charge a higher price because AmEx charges the business a larger percentage of the sale price as a transaction fee.

Visa charges the company something like 2% per transaction and American Express charges 4% - or thats at least how it used to be

Visa, far more places take visa.  AE is just a company who thinks they are of a better class than the rest and survive on those fees paid by poor schleps.

get the giftcard with no fee or lesser fee and check to c if they charge a monthly fee also
