Gifts for group birthday party?

My daughter is 13 and the trend this year seems to be for the girls to have these combined b-day parties where two or three girls are celebrating the day together. They invite the entire grade (like 60 kids). Another one is coming up next month. My daughter loves to go, but the thought of buying two more gifts for girls she doesn't really call friends is killing me. What would you do or what is a reasonably priced gift idea for a girl this age? They seem to really haul in a lot of stuff!

You could consider buying each a card and a $10 gift card to the mall or the movies.

It gets expensive buying gifts for this thing or that thing for birthday parties. My son is only 14 months old and he gets invited to a party it seems at least every 3 months for something.  I started keeping a basket of party gifts from places I find things that are cheap and attractive to kids in my hall closet. When we get an invite I pull out a couple things from that and toss into a gift bag with colorful tissue paper and off he goes.  There is nothing over $5 in the basket and it saves me from running around trying to find something for him to take and alot of money.

For teenagers you could do things like:

* necklace or ear rings from somewhere like Walmart or target. They have some trendy things for very little money.

* try getting things like an assortment of lipgloss or gel sparkle, hair accessories etc.. to put together

* Get some things at a Bath and Body works. Often they will run specials like 3 for $15 on all sorts of things. You can stock pile on some fun scents from there and send a gel, spray OR lotion with a bath pouf.

* Just pick out a card and include $10 in it.  Right color and guarenteed to be appreciated.

what about a gift card for a movie rental?  or, a pair of earrings from Claire's (or one of those teen accessory stores)...sometimes they have deals like buy 3, get 2 free, then you always have something on hand.

try gift cards of 20 or 30 dollars from a local mall.. that should do.. and that way they could by whatever they want...
