Giggs considering a move to UAE
Reports suggest that Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs is considering a move to the UAE league as the end of his career approaches. If he indeed goes through with the move, Giggs will be following in the footsteps of Fabio Cannavaro,
the World Cup winning Italian captain.
Cannavaro moved to Al-Ahli under Coach David O’Leary and is now earning more than he did at any other previous club. United veterans like Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Gary Neville are also looking into a move to the Middle East as the
final days of their playing careers come closer.
A source revealed, “Ryan is a legend at United and still an important part of the team but like Scholesy and Gary Neville, he can't go on forever. He has always rejected moves but this is a very attractive way for him to end his career,
a last big pay day in the sun. The same goes for Scholesy and Nev.”
If Giggs does decide to leave, it will be because of the lucrative deal he will most likely be offered in the Middle East. Apart from that, a move to the UAE will guarantee more time on the field than the 37 year old is currently getting
at Old Trafford. Scholes and Neville will most likely follow in his footsteps, whatever he decides to do in the end.
Giggs holds the record for having played the most games for Manchester United; this is the players twenty first season at Old Trafford and he still showing no signs of quitting. Under the management of Sir Alex Ferguson, Giggs has led
his side to eleven Premier League titles, two Champions League trophies and four FA Cups.
He has never given his manager any trouble on and off the pitch and is the sort of player who is known to play through injury. If Giggs decide to leave, it will be a great loss to the club and to the Premier League, which has seen this
brilliant player develop into the star that he is today. It still remains to be seen whether Giggs and his fellow ageing players decide to go through with the move.
