The Juventus goalkeeper has stated that the goals of Cassano and Balotelli are a good sign for the team, and believes that the Azzurri have a good shot at the Euro trophy.

Buffon revealed that the first ambition of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 was to survive the group stage of the European tournament, and insisted that the qualification is a huge boost to their confidence.
The Nazionale goalkeeper admitted that the Euros will continue to offer them some of the most competitive teams as their adversaries, but maintained that Italy can reach out for the trophy from their current position.

Buffon stressed that seeing the two forwards starting to rattle the nets for the team is an immensely good development, and insisted that it was important for the AC Milan and the Manchester City strikers to taste blood ahead of the knockout stage.

“Our minimum objective was to go through to the knockouts. We could go out, as there are strong teams left in the competition, but now we’re here we can really go for it. It’s a great sign because we really needed Cassano and Balotelli, who despite good
performances had been unable to score.”
The Juventus-man went on to remark upon the physical challenges posed by the intense nature of the tournament.
Buffon mentioned that four days of break is no time for the players to recover from a physically demanding match, and insisted that teams could fall prey to fatigue in the later stages of the tournament.
The Nazionale keeper went on to hail Cesare Prandelli for selecting a good 23-man squad, and voiced his support for the new system.
