  2. Yes she was kind of strict in a few episodes.

One of which was:  Season 2, Episode 11: Secrets and Loans.  In this episode they find out that they have termites.  They need a loan and Lorelai goes to every bank to get a loan and can't.  Even though asked not to, Rory asks her grandparents for money.

Another was:  Season 1, Episode 9: Rory's Dance  When Rory and Dean fell asleep and didn't come home Lorelai yelled at Rory and acted very mom like lol.

Season 3, Episode 1: Those Lazy-Hazy-Crazy Days Lorelai yells at Rory for kissing Jess while dating Dean.

      Hope that helps!

  3. Gilmore girls was made to represent what a mother daughter relation ship could be, Yes lorelia and rory got in fights and she is strict when it comes to her daughter, but at the same time rory knows that her mom trusts her and she doesnt do anything she thinks her mother wont aggree with.

They are so much more than mother and daughter they are best friends. Lorelai made alot of mistakes in her life and she raises rory more as a friend then a daughter because she wants better for rory. They fight when rory doesnt want to go to chilton and they have a HUGE fight when rory dropped out of yale, they didnt talk for 5 months.

  4. The first thing that came to mind was in the very first season.  It was in the 2nd or 3rd episode.  After being accepted to Chilton there was a moment there where Rory did not want to go.  She had just met Dean and wanted to stay at her regular high school because of him.  Lorelai had to play the "mom card" saying that she was going to go to Chilton and that is that.
