Okay.

So. I am moving to a large, highly hip-hop and rap oriented city in the north from a small town in the south. No, I am not a hick and if I was in a line up, you definitely wouldn't be able to pull me out of a group as a southerner. I actually really enjoy hip-hop now that I listen to it almost 24/7 on the radio, in my friend's houses, in school, etc. HOWEVER: At our school's casual dances, I just...Marvel...At the guys...Who can dance. It's /so/ hot. Gahhhhh. I could drool. Anyways. I don't really dance. I mean, I sway and bop and pop to the rhythm. It isn't like I'm just standing still or anything. I definitely move enough. But I wanna learn some easy, simple moves that won't come off as loserish (rofl I am one of the only people in my school who can actually do the running-man) that I can just find on the internet. C:

Any help and suggestions are definitely appreciated.

  1. dancin is about having fun, so that is what you should do.

I learned to dance by watching youtube videos. There are lots of how-to videos there. I do a dance called popping...here is a video of me doin it...

the running man is an awesome move, but just modify it to make a bit more cool :p

Go on youtube and search "how to hiphop dance moves" or "hip hop dance tutorial" and learn a move of two, then practice freestylin. It takes time, but you will get real good FAST if you practice. Give it a try, its not about the move, its about being confident and showing your having fun!

good luck, lemme kno if this helped
