Question:

Gimp brushes acting funny?

I've been using gimp for awhile. But today it started acting funny.

I created a new file to test the error. What would happen is I'd start with the size 11 brush, and put the size down to .20. Then I moved it up because that wasn't large enough, but it didn't change until I got to .40, and then, once it did get larger, I moved it back down again, and it didn't change until I got below .20.

so between .20 and .40, it only showed me two different sizes, and the size would sorta, stick.

I hope that's not too complicated, if I could put a picture up I could show you!

  1. May be you need to increase the view magnification of the test pic to see the actual difference. It is because size 11 brush is only 11 px diameter, the difference of 20% and 40% of that amount is very small.

If after view expansion, say 1600%, there's no of obvious difference between the 2, probably you need to reinstall GIMP, or even report this problem to GIMP site, here's the link http://www.gimp.org/bugs/

    Hope this helps.
