Gin Boy to strike a hat trick through the Online Bookings @ The Cross 525 Semi-Final at Harold’s Cross

Harold’s Cross will stage the Grade A2 Online Bookings @ The Cross 525 Semi-Final over 525 yards flat on Friday, 15th June. Up for the challenge tonight are Gin Boy, Sillothill Lawns, Bandicoot Lexi, Maybe Gavin, Dunbro Miller and Black Hall Pearl.
The prize money set for the race is €50.
The most promising entry for the race is Gin Boy, Hometown Boy Nga’s two-year-old black son out of b***h, Highway Classic. His beginning of the season was marked with two training sessions, at two different venues and over two different distances.
They did not prove out to be as effective as they were meant to be as he scored second in his seasonal debut. The 525 yards race on 29th March was won by Chester Lad who timed the track distance in 30.14 seconds and led by a length.
The second career try had him stated as not raced but it was won by Hanstown Daisy on 26th April in 30.27 seconds.
The two-year-old scored second in the Grade A6 Try A Trio 525 at Harold’s Cross on 7th May. The race was won by Nalps Crash who completed the trip in 29.35 seconds and led by one and a half length.
The runner up, Gin Boy, timed the track distance in 29.47 seconds. The 5/4 favourite of the race, Burnt Oak Barney, ended third after racing for 29.55 seconds.
He then qualified as the runner up in the Grade A3 The Early Week Bistro Deal 525 on 22nd May at Harold’s Cross over 525 yards. Rince Cosmo won the race after 28.85 seconds and led Gin Boy by a good twelve and a half lengths.
His first success of the season was in the Grade A3 The Bet With The Tote 525 on 1st June at Harold’s Cross. He made it to the other end of the wire in 29.14 seconds and led the 6/4 joint favourite runner up, Skippy Go Lucky, by a length.
He then monopolised the Grade A2 Upcoming Events @ The Cross 525 on 8th June at Harold’s Cross over 525 yards. The winner rushed through the track distance in 29.46 seconds and led by one and a half length.
Winning today will mean that he will get entitled to a hat trick.
