Ginger Jack tipped to win John Smith´s Racing Stakes
Ginger Jack will be one of the top contenders for winning the John Smith´s Racing Stakes (Handicap) at York in England on Saturday, July 14, 2012. A cash prize of £9,704 will be given to the class-3 winner in the end.
The going will be good in the 1 mile event, which is scheduled to start at 13:55 GMT, and a total of 12 runners have been attracted towards it. Most of them are highly competitive challengers, thus the spectators will be hoping for some exciting action of
horseracing.
There are some runners, who have been performing exceptionally well over the past few months, which will make it difficult for the punters to choose their favourite. However, they can depend on the skills of Ginger Jack, who has the ability to outperform
his rivals. He has been given a general starting price of 6 to 1 by the bookmakers for today’s event.
The five-year-old gelding is not new to the sport, as he has represented his team in 24 races. He first came onto the scene back in 2009 and took part in just a couple of events that year. His performances were lacklustre though, thus no one expected him
to make a big impression at the start of the next season.
Despite that, the Geoffrey Harker’s trainee was given some very good coaching and he seemed like a completely different runner from what he was at the start of his career. He managed to win his first race of the 2010 season by two and a half lengths. He
was priced 13 to 2 back then and did not allow anyone else to come closer.
Refuse To Bend’s son gave another solid performance in his very next race, winning it by two lengths and three quarters. Although he has managed to do well since then, yet there is a question mark over his consistency.
However, things seem to be heading in the right direction for Ginger Jack in this season, as he has done well in the three races he took part in this year. He finished first in one of them whereas secured the runner up position in the other two. The momentum
is definitely with him and his partner will be seasoned jockey, Paul Mulrennan.
