  1. Several recent large randomized placebo controlled studies have shown that Ginko biloba is not effective for "memory and brain function"

I am not aware of studies of it as a sleep aid.

  2. Gingko Biloba is a well known remedy for improving circulation all over the body. Better circulation in the brain is what should improve memory and mental function. In males, it can be used as a kind of aphrodisiac, since better circulation in the genitals in some cases will be seen as a better erection.

Gingko should be used for three months in a row, then should not be taken for another three months and so on.

I wouldn't not know about gingko and breastfeeding, though.

  3. I took ginko once, it gave me a bad headache. DMAE is good for mental function, google it and see for yourself.

    don't do dmae and breastfeed.

  4. I haven't taken Gingko personally. Some people love it a small few get too stimulated..heart palpitations. As far as breast feeding goes I would think that, just like caffeine, it ends up in the milk, but I'm not sure.

You might want to try Gotu Kola

I use Rhodiola Rosea tincture when I need to concentrate and focus.
