However, the 45 year old thinks that his former club can go a step further, by finishing in the top four.

Ginola attributed the club’s recent achievements to Ben Arfa and Cabaye, and felt that both the players had to play a crucial role in the run-in of the season.

Ben Arfa on the other hand, has become the linchpin for Pardew up-front. He made a strong comeback in the team, after suffering from an ankle injury in the earlier part of the season. So far, he has scored 6 goals for his side this season, and also picked
up 7 assists.

“I’ve said all along that the spirit within the dressing room is the most important thing. We had it when I played," he added.
He also recalled his Newcastle playing days and revealed that he was dejected, of not being able to win a league title. However, he expressed his satisfaction over the Magpies progress and believed that they deserve to play in the elite European competition.
“Newcastle is a club that should be in the Champions League.”
