The Juventus defender was taken off during the final of the European Championship following a thigh strain and was replaced by Balzaretti on the 21st minute.

“In any case, nobody can doubt the effort we put in, as we have worked so hard and should still be proud of this tournament. It represents a starting point for our future, when we will aim to win.”
