The Old Lady defender has expressed his joy over the Bianconeri’s victory over the Rossazzurri, and cannot wait for the much anticipated clash against AC Milan.
The Lady Killer’s defensive powerhouse has emphasised the importance of their matchday 24 victory over Catania.
The Turin giants marched to an easy 3-1 win over Vincenzo Montella’s men at Juventus Stadium recently.
Chiellini has insisted that Juventus drew two consecutive matches, and it had become imperative for the Bianconeri to register a win against the Sicilians.
While speaking to the official club website, Chiellini was quoted as saying:
"It was vital to get all three points against Catania. We felt the importance of the game because we wanted to redeem ourselves after the last two encounters."
The Pisa-born defender turned his attention to their next game, which will be against A.C Milan. The Italian international is predicting a mouth-watering contest, and believes that it will have a major say in the title race.
The Old Lady defender feels that is important to go into such major clashes on the back of a good run, and is hopeful that the victory against the Sicilians will lift morals within the Juve camp.
"It will be a spectacular game. It’s important to go into it off the back of a victory. The difference between the two sides is that we’ve drawn more against the smaller teams, while they can count on [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic who makes
the difference in those games," remarked the 27-year-old in his statement to Juventus official website.
Ibrahimovic is most likely to miss out the Milan-Juve clash at the San Siro owing to the three-match ban he picked up against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 earlier this month. The Swedish international was found guilty of slapping Partenopei defender,
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Salvatore-Aronica-c32276, and the verdict on the appeal against the ban will be made on 23rd February.
Juventus will travel to Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Saturday, February 25. The Turin giants currently drift leaders, A.C Milan, by just one point, albeit with an extra game in hand.
