The Juventus defender has given his thoughts on the ongoing speculation behind the veteran’s future, and has made
clear that he would love the legend to stay.
The former Fiorentina defender has reiterated his desire for the striker and the club to consider their future, and that the
star attacker stays at the Turin outfit.
Del Piero moved from Padova to the Bianconeri side back in 1993, and has stayed at the club ever since, the Italian has been
a pivotal part of the Juve success over the years and has been loyal and committed to the Juventus cause ever since.

club. Since 1993, Del Piero has played 505 matches scoring 206 goals in the process.
The current season is his 19th season with the Bianconeri and has already won 15 major honours with the club. The
Turin outfit are currently competing for the Coppa Italia and the Scudetto, and winning both the titles would mean that the forward having racked 17 titles during his illustrious career.
Alex Del Piero was pivotal in Juve’s recent success, scoring two goals in his last two games. Chiellini has thrown his support
behind the player’s stay by stating:
“Alex is a great champion and always will be, and we as players can only observe and accept these choices. For us, the champion
and the man would remain with us always - I believe that until the end of the season there is time for him and the club to talk and reach a decision together.”
While reflecting on the support from the former Italian international player, the Pisa-born defender stated:
“Ale was one of the first to think only of the field and help us out through the year, and we hope more and more through these
two months. Then, any other discussion is best left out, so as to avoid controversy.”
Chiellini transferred to the Old Lady from Fiorentina in the summer of 2005, and has seen the impact Del Piero has had over
the years, thereby pleading the legendary striker to extend his stay in Turin.
