Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Giovani-dos-Santos-c14983 has revealed he does not feel the London club have done everything they could to keep him at the club.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Santos-c32532 wants a move away due to lack of first opportunity and feels the management at the club have not been
convincing enough.
Dos Santos joined Tottenham Hotspur in 2008 from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, but has been unable to secure a place in starting line-up. Last season, the Mexican made just 13 appearances in all competitions under manager Harry Redknapp, which is why he is now looking for
a move abroad.
The 23-year-old was initially linked with Spanish outfit Villarreal, but after the side were relegated the deal failed to go through. Dos Santos is currently on the look-out for another side and will most likely be moving away from White Hart Lane in the
summer transfer window.
Dos Santos said in an interview:
“[Tottenham] have given me answers but none convince me. Because, at the end of the day, they haven't given me minutes on the pitch. I respect the club and my contract, but my intention is to leave.
There are options from several places, I'm not going to close any doors, but the idea is to remain in Europe.”
His opportunities at Tottenham Hotspur have been limited by the other, older and more experienced players available for selection. However, that does not change Dos Santos’ mind since he is determined to move to a side where he will be able to play regular
football.
Amongst the many sides he has been linked with, the MLS is an option. However, according to the player he wishes to remain in Europe. If any MLS side were to make an offer, Dos Santos would reject them since he is looking to remain in Europe.
He revealed:
“It's not that I see it as a bad option, I simply think I've been formed in Europe for years and want to remain there.”
