Giovani dos Santos was lauded as the successor to the mercurial Ronaldinho when he was poised to make his Barcelona first team debut in 2007. The Mexican did not live up to his hyped-up reputation, though, and a loan-spell at Ipswich Town last season was a sign of his descent.

But he’s now signed a loan deal with Turkish outfit Galatasaray from Tottenham Hotspur. It’s about time he left England to resurrect his career, and he still has the talent to establish himself as one of the Europe’s big players.
