Giovanni Ramirez, Bryan Stow’s alleged attacker, wanted for murder near Las Vegas – MLB News
Since the horrific beating of Bryan Stow took place, one controversy or another links itself to the incident. Just a few weeks back, it was reported that one of the two assaulters that attacked Bryan was arrested, but as soon as those reports were released,
countless others emerged stating that Giovanni Ramirez, the man arrested wasn’t the attacker to begin with.
It all started during a regular series game between the reigning World Series Champions, the San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers, who are historical rivals. The fans were cheering for their respective teams and the game finished soon enough.
After the game, 42-year-old paramedic and father of two, Stow, was making his way back to the parking lot of Dodger Stadium when he was attacked from behind by two men clad in Dodger gear.
The attackers beat up Stow to such an extent and in such an inhumane way that the doctors had to put him under a medically induced coma so that the damage his brain would cease. Since March, Stow has not shown any signs of recovery and the doctors cannot
comment on his state, because they do not know for themselves. He is under intense sedatives that help keep the seizures that he suffers from often, at bay.
Ramirez was arrested on May 22, after reward money of $250,000 was allotted for anyone who might give accurate leads as to where Giovanni might be. One of the officials, who is with Ramirez in the case told reporters, on the condition of anonymity that Ramirez
is a possible suspect in murder outside Las Vegas that took place in January.
This isn’t the only violent incident in Ramirez’s life, though. He was convicted for trying to rob an old lady in 1999 and later in 2005 was charged for being in possession of a firearm by a felon.
Even though he is one of the two main suspects responsible for Stow’s beating, Ramirez is yet to be charged. The only reason he is under arrest is because Giovanni violated his parole terms. The biggest problem that the Los Angeles Police Department officials
are facing is that Ramirez was not even present at Dodger Stadium at the day of the attack.
Many of his family members and friends, which include his 9-year-old daughter are ready to testify in court attesting that Giovanni was not even at Dodger Stadium on the day of the beating to begin with.
The police are still searching for the second man who was took an equal part in the barbaric assault and a woman who drove the pair away from the crime scene.
