The newly appointed Pescara manager has stated that he will not be following in the footsteps of the Czech tactician, and will be looking to surprise his sceptics with some good performances.

The former AC Milan player has been appointed at the helm of the newly promoted outfit and will lead the Dolphins in Serie A, despite the fact that he has no experience of managing in Italy’s top flight or Serie B.

The Italian international stressed upon the importance of refraining from any sort of experimentation in the upcoming season, and insisted that the Czech international has a philosophy to his game that no one can imitate.
The ex-Sudtirol-Alto Adige tactician was adamant that he will look to introduce his style of play at the Delfini, and insisted that he will refrain from trying crazy things that he is not comfortable with.
While talking to the press, the 44-year-old said:
“Being compared to Zeman is a great compliment. I love him to bits, but I don’t imitate him, because it is quite simply impossible. You can try to imitate his style of football, but never the philosophy. His constant attacking and forward-thinking approach
has logic to it, while those who try to imitate only end up being unbalanced.”
Stroppa went on admit that he has many sceptics, but stated that he is confident that he will be able to bring good results at Pescara.
“That is wonderful for me. You can’t imagine how much it excites me to prove the sceptics wrong.” He added.
