  1. At 12 she should be in school NOT Married!

  2. First of all, you idiots, if you actually READ the article...

IT'S NOT A GYPSY PRINCESS! It's the daughter of the self-proclaimed king of Romania.

    Second of all,

This article was written in 2003... 5 years ago! Things have changed!

    Third of all,

My opinions: It doesn't really bother me since it's part  of their culture. The 14 YEAR-OLD girl is probably happy right now, and she's probably LEGALLY married since she's about  19...

  3. Where is the source to this story please?

  4. im thinking she don,t love here.

  5. Gypsy law bless marriage of girls and boys at 12 years old. One old tradition that has not been set aside, very recently a wedding of similar circumstances took place locally and the total cost was in excess of £38000 and the venue where this took place were not complaining. Live and let live.

  6. Inbred

  7. It's their tradition and it's what they've done for hundreds of years. And not all Romany gypsies are poor. Don't believe the media which always shows gypsies as thieving dirty thugs who live in waste dumps!  I say leave them alone. And looking at what happens in our society we can't really say that we're better.

And this is years old. Why bring it up now?

  8. Link please.

Here in India, in some orthodox families, marriages are still arranged when the children are very young. However the ceremony is only solemnised when they reach the legal age.

Isn't this similar to the betrothals that the West used to have earlier?

A matter of culture, methinks, and as long as its not a child marriage, no one gets hurt.

  9. Different culture.

Many young girls (under 16) in Britain are married off to  Muslim men, they are not however permitted to engage in sexual relations by law, until the legal age of consent.

Sadly, many of these young S. Asian girls have any understanding that they are to be married until the day arrives.

  10. Big deal. Its just their culture, and how she was raised. She knew from a young age that she would be married at 12. And that being normal for their culture, it's no shock...

In America and the UK, we prepare to marry in our 20's where in other cultures, they prepare to marry at 12. There's really no difference, they are just as prepared for marriage at their age as we were at ours. Its all just culture.

I should have been invited to that wedding, I'm from Gypsie royalty...

But my family had to move to the U.S -_-

Gypsies aren't bad people. I'm related to a bunch of Gypsie descendants. Love em' all.

Definitely got the gene for ESP.

  11. Wow! Too young, but they're gypsys and have no morals.

  12. My cousins gypsy wife had a £50,000 one.

  13. I dislike gypsies intensely

  14. Is you problem with her age or what she wore?

I would think at 12 she would want to be like a fairy tale princess.

My problem is with her age. "NO WAY" is what I want to shriek at the top of my voice!

She is still a child with a child's view of the world from my point  of view.

  15. many years ago in the time or romeo and juliette this was common

  16. There is a gipsy princess?? Where did this happen? In the US marriage at 12 is not really legal so for me its very difficult to agree with a 12 year old getting married. At that ag I know I would've not been ready for marriage am double her age and I think I am young to be married already.

  17. I think they get away with what ever they want. I dont care if she is 12 or 90. Just keep away from my house.
