Girl's night coming up. What's good to serve for something like that? spinach dip..?

  1. Look for 3 cheese spinach dip. We make it for Christmas and occasions when everyone is over and its the first thing gone. I personally love it. Its not really that hard to make. Try www.allrecipes.com.

  3. A layered Mexican dip with salsa, sour cream, guacamole, cheese, black olives, jalapenos...  Lots of chips.  MMMMMMM!!!

  5. Cupcakes, chocolate covered fruit, smoothies, popcorn, gummi things, cut-up fruit, veggies and dip...

    Finger foods and sweet things are probaby going to be your best bet.

    what u do is u use a can of chilli to 1 block or watever of cream cheese u put them on the stove in a pot when the cream cheese is melted your dip is dun yummy

    and cream cheese wrapped in salamie to keep it together use a toothpick really good

    and maybe a veggie tray and just like ham and turkey rolled up and put on a tray maybe with cheese yummy

  7. Spinache dip is good.  Also nachos and cheese with chilli sauce.

    I would also recommend a fruit or veggie platter for guilt-free snacking, assorted chip dips, and maybe a few baked goodies!

    Spinach Dip

    A very impressive looking appetizer - and it's so easy! You can use frozen spinach if you want, but it seems more trouble to me when the fresh is always available.

    You can use light mayonnaise and sour cream to reduce the fat content. I use regular yogurt instead of sour cream. I also like it with (light) Miracle Whip salad dressing instead of mayonnaise, for a zippier taste.



      

    Ingredients:  

    1 package (10 oz.) fresh spinach

    1 cup mayonnaise

    1 cup sour cream

    1 package dry vegetable soup mix

    2 round pumpernickel bread loaves

      

    Directions:

    Wash spinach and drain well. Cook in a pot with the water clinging to the leaves, just until tender and wilted. Drain and squeeze out any remaining water. Chop finely.

    Combine mayonnaise, sour cream, and soup mix. Add chopped spinach and stir to combine. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours.

    Cut the top off of one of the pumpernickel loaves. Scoop the bread out of the centre of the loaf, so you are left with a bowl. Cut the scooped out bread, and the second loaf of bread, into bite sized pieces.

  10. OK this is my homemade CHEESe dip! It is so yummy!

    Get a block of cheese (velveeta) and a red bell pepper, green bell pepper, jalapenos, and onions.

    Melt the desired amount of cheese with some milk until it it not so soupy but not too thick. If it is too thick, add more milk.

    After it it well mixed, mince up desired to taste, jalapenos, bell peppers, and onions to the dip.

    Keep stirring, this will bring out the flavor of the vegetables.

    This is some delicious stuff!

  13. It depends on the ages and likes and dislikes of your gf's. If they like pizza, chips and dip, drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) then go with that. Do they like carb foods or not? Find out, if you don't already know, what they like and take it from there. Nachos and cheese or appetizers are good. Crackers and cheese are good. You can have a vast assortment. If you have friends that count carbs, then find something for them like yogurt or smoothies. Diet drinks and non-diet drinks too. Have a little of both! Don't forget the veggies too. Have fun and enjoy. The company and fun is more important. You could always order and have food delivered like Chinese or pizza if they like it. A fruit punch is easy and everyone seems to enjoy it too. Ask your friends and decide later after you have bought some foods from the grocery store already. Be ready for change.

  15. Anything low fat and low cal would do the more organic the better.  Try celery sticks with a low fat yogurt dip and no one will go home feeling bad about themselves.  :) Tic Tac is always good too! But no more than 3 per person!

  18. try a chocolate fondue! buy some fun fruit and funky toothpicks! and then for the salty side ahve some different popcorn flavors for airpop popcorn! they have some flavors you can buy at the store that you can just sprinkle on.. like BBQ, cheese, ranch, apple cinnamon, caramel..etc!  some figure friendly food that's still yummy! ;)

  20. the Deli at the market is the best bet in there. It is not worth your time and mess to make them from scratch.
