Girl Hamsters....?

Question

can female hamsters have periods? If you know, PLZ answer this question. I got a hamster from Petco, a golden hamster.

The worker there at Petco said,"This here fellow is a male hamster, a lot slower than a robo that you had". We bought him so I could have a loving hamster that I could take care of.

Today, my hamster was bleeding underside of him. I'm not sure what to do. I don't have enough money to take him to a vet so I'm relying on answers.

You should not have brought him home without money for the vet.

Considering he came from PetCo, your best bet is to return him, since they sell mostly sick and injured animals.

I have experienced this firsthand, with two mice and a gerbil.

Vet, or return. You have two choices.

But you have a male, right? You can tell pretty easily, males have big balls. He probably scratched himself on something, keep an eye on it and he'll probably be fine.

Uh no. And if you have a male... double no. Its pretty obvious to tell the difference.

You should keep an eye on him and if he is still bleeding in a couple days then take him to the vet. And Petco has fantastic animals, so don't listen to the other people who say its bad.

they do not get their period, i am sorry to say but you will probably HAVE to take him to the vet. oh and why are you asking if a male hamster will get its period? its a male O_o
