Girl caught me staring at her?

I was staring at this pretty girl during class today and she all of a sudden looked back at me and started to smile. She wouldn't stop smiling and looking at me, as if she found that me looking at her was funny. Being the shy person I am, I quickly looked away, and was I so embarrassed for the rest of the period (I'm also the new guy so it was even more embarrassing).

For the ladies; what do you think she was thinking?

I'm really insecure if you haven't noticed, so just any advice or hints to what to do?

I'd be very flattered to be honest, if a guy was staring at me nonstop in a slightly garish sort of way I think I'd be a bit creeped out! But if I noticed that a boy had been giving me the eye a few times in the same period, I'd definitely smile back- especially if he was attractive and smiled back too. ;)

You shouldn't feel so insecure. If you like this girl, what's the harm in a couple of glances?? I once figured this one guy liked me after about a week of seeing him looking at me in my history class. It was really sweet. It's one of the easiest, but still slightly subtle way to make a move on a girl.

she probably thinking that it was cute you found her interesting bcause whenever i find a guy staring at me he usually likes me so she likes you

she was probably flattered that you looked at her or she was just trying to be polite about you staring at her

I'm the same like you my crush stares at me and I'm a nervous wreck. If she smiled at you there is already a chance she likes you. Keep checking for more signs that could be shown that shows she likes you. Good luck.

she seemed interested ....and remember that being shy is a way to protect yourself from the hurt of rejection.....Its okay to be cautious ..but if you get the vibe a girl is interested in you, take a risk and smile and say hello.
