In the 1970's some company actually made toilets so women could pee standing up, or hovering over the toilet.  Some public parks still have them in their ladies rooms.

While camping I have peed standing up, early AM while wearing a long teeshirt that covered me.  When there is a lot of force - there is no need to spray yourself.  It is all in how you stand and aim.
