  1. I am not a student, but I was a teacher, and I am Australian. I taught a few Australian kids in the UK around the same age as you several years ago.

I asked them how they were settling in. They found GCSEs very easy, easier than year 10 and 11 in Australia, but A levels are tougher. After year 11 you start 6th form, which is two years, so A levels are as difficult as first year at college/uni in Australia.

The biggest difference between Australian schools and English schools is that teachers in England help their students much more. In Australia students are left to "sink or swim", while in England, teachers work very closely with students who are struggling.

English high school students are friendly and curious but sometimes a little shy (even though they pretend not to be). Schools vary massively from area to area. Uniforms are not as strict as in Australia, but that is changing these days and some English schools are getting stricter.

  2. hey im in yr 10 you will fit in because everyone will love your Aussie accent the work will probably be the same good luck

  3. im a student in england - you will LOVE it here. Plus everyone will love you because of your cute accent ¬_¬ haha.

Email me or something, we can talk about the best colleges and locations ect.
