Theres a model search goin on rite now and the winner has to sign a contract with "next agency modelling in new york"

what would that require me to do?? please tell me i won't have to go to ny??

You probably have to send in a full length and head shot. Probably fill in the application form too. Isn't there a website that tells you what you have to do. You won't have to go to New York initially I'm sure, but if you get picked or shortlisted, chances are you will have to go. You may have to pay for it yourself if you're only shortlisted, if you win they will probably pay all expenses.
