Hi. I recently came back to the UK from a holiday. My girlfriend is Ukrainian and im British. I was going back to thr UK for a few weeks and she was going to transit Gatwick...over to heathrow and on a plane to Ukraine the same day. On the way out to our holiday she was granted a transit visa in Heathrow upon arrival. On our way home she was not...instead she was detained for 3 days...and an order of removal was placed on her and a stamp in her passport. Besides from being a very upsetting experienc3 she has also been told by a few of her friends that she cant even apply for a visa for the UK now for 10 years due to the removal stamp!!??? IS THIS TRUE? Any help is great. I have written to the immigration dptmnt and mayor and a few other ppl to try and resolve this mess....no replys yet...i want the removal stamp taken from her passport as she was innocent of any wrong doing, and caught a really tuff deal from the UK immigration person. Any help is great.

  1. You will have to seek legal advice and wait for the replies in the mail. Any idea why they did that to her? Had she previously overstayed her visa in the past? They can't just suddenly do that without reason even though she was only going through transit. Investigate if I were you.

  2. if the removal has been applied to her passport, you cannot get that taken away from her passport;

    here is what the UK says about deportation;

    A deportation order

    . A deportation order requires the subject to leave the United Kingdom and authorises his detention until he is removed. It also prohibits him from re-entering the country for as long as it is in force and invalidates any leave to enter or remain in the United Kingdom given him before the Order is made or while it is in force.

    now as to the time of suspension of entering the UK? she will be informed;

  3. the 10 year ban rule doesn't kick in until october so if she goes back to ukraine now then she seeks for legal advice then she might be able to come back. i'm in the same situation and things are looking good.
