  1. tampons are so easy, and they give you step by step instructions, plus you don't sit in blood.. pads really do suck. who would see your pad? most girls your age have a period so i dont think anyone will care, let alone be staring at your undies while you change. dont worry about it

  2. ooooooo god!! :)

TRUST me, it could be WAYYYY worse!!! I'm like you, and hate tampons (I know how to put them in, but i just don't like 'em)

When i went to Cuba with my family last winter (I was 13) I had my period for 5 out of the 7 days we were there. the problem was, we were on the beach in a bathing suite, LITERALLY the whole day. We would wake up, put our bathing suites on, and go to the beach, then stay there until 8 at night!!

    Anyway, back to you:

At 14, its pretty much guarantied that all the girls have it already, so you have no worries about being made fun of. If your flow was quite heavy today, that DOES NOT mean that it will be that heavy in 2 days. Each day, these less and less. I'm normally pretty heavy too my first 2 days then after the 4th, it really starts to peter off, and by the 6th day, I'm done.

My suggestion, is to go out and by Always Ultra Thin Pads. There really comfortable, and provide excellent protection. and dont worry, people wont see them. I promise, they WONT see them. Don't forget, your wearing shorts. Its not like your going to be doing gym in underwear! :)

If you just got it today, then I'm guessing your probably having cramps?? god, thoes are a Bitc* :P To get rid of them, I normally use tilenal, but Midol also works quite good.

If you have any more questions you can e-mail me if you want. Or i would suggest talking to your mom about all your worries too. I'm sure she would be happy to help.

    :EDIT:

O, and if you dont know how to put the tampons on, there are some instructions in the box when you get them, that are quite easy to follow

  3. tampons are easy to use if you do it correctly what i mean is it wont hurt or anything and theres no really wrong way to use them because you only have one spot to stick it you know?

    hah

and if your really that uncomfotable with it then just ask your mom to sign you a slip to not participate in that class because you hurt something or if she won't sign it when u get to that class fake sick and say that your stomach really hurts and u feel like you have to throw up and they shouldnt make you do anything.

i use to have to worry but tampons are so much easier and theyre not as messy and it makes you feel like your not even on it!

  4. Hi I've been there and it's not as bad as you might think.

I always used to wear the ones with wings because I have quite bad periods and always have. Even in PE i wore the ones with wings because it saved a lot of embarrassment of overflowing etc (you know what I mean! :P). I used to sit down to change my trousers and put my legs in a certain way so that i could keep any evidence of pads or blood hidden, and that always worked.

Anyway, you are all girls and all of you have periods so it's nothing weird. It's natural. Also, I bet you aren't the only one in ur PE group who is on their period. Don't worry, you will be ok :)

  5. lol congratss on your periodd!

and for gymm, i have the same problem! well either just face the facts and wear it with wings and just b like yea i have my period, cuz you probably picked your locker around your friends and they wont caree.

orr. you could just go change in the bathroom and still wear the pad with wings.

orr. just change into your shirt first, and if its like big/ oversized, and it like covers ur underwear, then no one will see cuz your shirt is over it. then change into your pants, kinda hunched over so u no one sees your underwear and you'll be good! thats probably what i'm gonna do too!

  6. I was always "on my period" every time I did PE, they let me off most times.

Otherwise wear a skirt, put your shorts on before removing your skirt, and vise versa afterwards, and wait until you get home before you shower.

I would not try tampons until you feel ready.

    Good luck

  7. lol, ive been taking PE for 3 years now using a pad. you're not the only one in the locker room that is going to be wearing a pad. just dont worry about it, and a lot of the times girls dont really look at each other while they are changing. (:

    no worries.

  8. I Would Wear like Spandex Under your Shorts...

But Just know You aren't the only one in the girls locker room wearing a pad! Besides, I don't think anyone will have enough time to closely examine your underwear.

  9. i know that you're scared to use tampons but it is WAY easier to use one! when you get a box of tampons it tells you what to do so dont be scared, it's not like it's gonna get stuck or anything.... don't worry.

  10. Many girls your age, and probably in your PE class, have most like likely already started their period, so they go through what you are going through so you shouldn't have to be too embarrassed, but I understand where you're coming from. If you're really not into using tampons, I would say to just make sure that you change your pad often so there's not any visible blood once you have to change. Could you possibly change in a bathroom stall? That would save you some embarrassment. Good luck, and remember, every girl goes through this at one point in their life =]

  11. It's not as bad as you think. Just make sure to change your pad before class, and dont work as hard as you normally would. You're 14, i dont think you should use tampons yet, unless you've had s*x. It might be a bit much, considering you just started getting your period. Good luck sweetie!

  12. Heya bbe,

i went thruu the exact samee problem, i was scaredd of using tampons but if you buy ones with applicators its h**l of an easy and using vaseline makes it even easier well anyways, if your wearing a towell no one shuld see any blood, you shuld change a couple times whilst you at school and also when you are getting changed try and either coveryour self with your clothes or go into the bathroom and change or something lol but noone shuld be looking, if ur wearing lads boxers it harder to notice, i am 14 next week and i have had my periods for over 2 years now, i knoe they a pain to begin with but you get used ot them & when u get used to tampons they are really easy aswell :) i hope this has helped :)

  13. well I'm not sure what to do in PE since I dont have to change for my class, but I know that when mine is heaving I put on a bunch of pads. One where they normally go. Another to extend it. One over the butt area, and then another where they normally go. That pretty much prevents leekage. =]

  14. Get changed in the toilet. No one will see anyway, it will only be girls in the changing rooms and surely, at nearly 15 most of them have started their periods.

No one's ever laughed at people when they've leaked or anything at my school. We have beige summer uniform!

And if you regularly change your pads then there won't be blood when you get changed.
