difference in  ages is the difference in what ppl are called.Did you know that ?

  3. well my mum is now a grandmother and she calls herself GJ which stands for Grandma Jayne lol

  4. ID WANT TO BE CALLED GRAN

  5. i call my grandmother Nanny (Nan) and my other grandmother Mama (i believe it had something to do with the grandma)

my mother wants grandkids to call her grandma probably..

and i think i like that the best too.

  6. nana..its what i called my grandmother...my mother likes to be called grandma C...shes a weird woman.but i would like nana... :)

  7. I hate nanny & nan.Not something I would want to be called.I would prefer Grandma,Gram,or Mamaw.Any of those are fine.Babysitting will be great, but I am going to try my best not to bug my children to keep their kids.I am learning now how that feels & am going to try my best not to be the same way.

  8. I'm NannyMom - because he lives mostly with me.  Other nanny is Nanny Mandy (is her name!) and great nanny is Nanny Beryl

  9. I think nanny is best.

  10. It would be Gran - like my Gran - and I hope I am like her - she is great.  Only had one Gran as one died before I was born.

  11. i'm called nana and i love doing the babysitting, my grandson thinks my home is his second home

  12. nanny while they are young, but as they get to teens, just nan.

    granny sounds old!

    babysitting will be fine!

  13. my daughter calls my mum nan.

  14. My mom wants to be called grandma or gram. And while my mom will watch  my children on rare occasions she will definitely not be watching my child all the time so that she will feel obligated to do 'all that babysitting'. If you dont particuarly enjoy watching kids, which doesnt appear you do, considering the way you phrased your question, just put a limit on it. You arent and shouldnt be expected to be a free, whenever, babysitting service. Good luck!

  15. nanny or nan and yes.

  16. I think I would prefer Nan or Nanny ...but hopefully that's a very long way away :-)

  17. Nanny Chelle. My son calls his nannies like that, ie Nanny Lin, Nanny Sue, Nanny Elsie etc (He has lots of nannies and grandads as both of our parents remarried!!)

  18. Nan, it's really cute or Nanny

  19. Nanny

  20. I think I'd prefer nanna. I'd be happy to do the babysitting thing, my mum does it a lot for me and my daughter so yea why not?

  21. We use nanny or nan in our family, grandma is considered old fashioned.

  22. I am, althought I am still a young mother myself. I want to be called Nana, or Nanny because that is what we all called our grandmother on my dads side and I love her more than I can express. I want to be able to have the special bond with my grandchild that she did with hers, and I am hoping they will take to calling me by the name I used with my grandmother. My mother in law makes my 3 year old call her " ohma ". No idea why. But he won't do it, and she gets upset!

  23. I want to be the tradiitonal Grandma... but if child choose a cute variation I won't change it.  My kids are all still kids...so years to go for me but with 3 of my own and one step-to-be there should be tons of grandkids around and I will LOVE it.  My mom is Grandma and she is my kiddos second parent.  Grandparents are such a blessing!

  24. My daughter has decided to refer to me as 'grandma' to my 7month old first grandchild.  I prefer 'nanna' and that's what my children called my mother.  It was only shortly before she died that she told me she would have preferred to have been called 'grandma'.  I didn't think she'd want to sound as old as the name suggests - so my being called 'grandma' seems poetic justice!

  25. would have to be nana but thats a long way off yet and would do lots of babysitting and help the new parents out and give them a break for sure.  Love new born babies, so adorable and cute.

  26. Granny...love all the babysitting...

  27. nan,hmm...i think its not respectful.nanny would be better

  28. I would be 'Nonna' since I'm italian.
