Girls, did any of you ever try...?

epilating your legs above the knee ? Not shaving, not waxing, I'm talking about epilation.

I want to do it, but the skin is more sensitive on the upper part of the leg, and I'm afraid it might leave me with a really bad irritation. After I epilate my legs, I always use some kind of body lotion so the rash disappears completely during the night (since I do this right before going to bed). However, I'm afraid that epilating above the knee will leave my legs with a terrible rash, and I don't know whether it will be gone as quickly as it usually happens on the bottom part of my legs.

So, does it hurt ? Can you get rid of the irritation ?

Thank you :)

  1. I think that, don't try it! Seriously. I've never done it thought I've thought about it. And yes the skin is more sensitive on the upper part of the leg, and I think that you don't need to get rid of the hair there. If you shave the upper part of your leg, the hair will get thicker and when it grows back, it will show even more!

I don't know why you should put yourself through the pain, if it's not necessary.

I recommend you not to try it! :)

    Good luck.

  2. /IT HURTSS!!!!

    i have an epilator

it gets all red and pimply

i havent figured out how to get rid of the rash

but after u epilate...........i put some ice on and it looks redder but after a couple hours or so it looks less red

but stick to shaving.........even tho u gotta do it like everyday

  3. I've only ever done above my knee once with an epilator... the skin is just too sensitive to handle it & the rash won't go away for almost a week... Just stick to shaving or waxing above the knee.

  4. it burns and it makes your legs get all rashy and really bad razor burn

  5. Hmm, well I can't say that I've ever experienced any irritation while using an epilator. I always use a removal cream on my thighs so it's been working for me, but I know how you can test to see if it's right for you.

Just put a BIT of the cream on a part of your thigh and rinse it off when the bottle or squeeze tube of the product says you should, if you have a lot of irritation, do NOT use it.

    Hope I helped!
