Ok when i get my period the pain is unbearable. Im not talking about normal period pain, im talking about unreal pain. I actually cry most days with the pain! Pain killers just wont work for me so my doctor perscribed me 100 capsules of Mefenamic Acid. I would take 2 of them and usually the cramps would go away but now they dont work either. Please help me with some suggestions im in so much pain. I really want some good medication i can take or something because im going back to school next week and i dont think im going to be able to concentrate which i need as im doing important exams this year.

Thanks in advance

  1. ur dr can put u on lo-dose birth control pills that allow u to have periods only 4 times a year,or ones that eliminate ur period altogether.ur dr will explain to ur parents its for health reasons, not to promote teen sexuality.this will help u immensely.no periods,no cramps.when u get older and marry,ur fertility will be unaffected.talk to ur mom about this idea.also, have ur dr test u for endometrioses,a condition that causes bad,bad cramps.i have endo and lo-dose pills helped me.good luck!

  2. Ask you doctor to check you out for endometriosis. It is serious and can give you the pain you describe.

  3. You can feel menstrual cramps in a lot of different places sometimes... in your lower belly, across the front of your hips, in your lower back and even in your buttocks or down your legs.

Your uterus is squeezing and sometimes sort of twisting, and that can be uncomfortable all by itself... but when it does that it can sometimes pull on the suspensory ligaments that hold it in position.  Those ligaments are attached to several other ligaments and muscles where they meet your pelvis, and a tug on any uterine ligament can sometimes make all the other tissues attached to the same area of the pelvis react as if *they've* been tugged at.

That can cause pain that rates *really* high on the scale... but it doesn't happen to all women, and most have only some discomfort or minor to moderate pain.

The simple and cheap way to help with cramps (it's also the quickest, and the most convenient and natural) is having an o****m by masturbating.   It doesn't work for *all* women, but it does help many... and for some, it can get rid of cramps entirely for a while.

"... an o****m can cause your uterus to contract, enabling it to use up excess prostaglandins in the process. Prostagladins are hormones produced by your uterine lining. They help to stimulate contractions that move menstrual blood out of the uterus, and are also responsible for those cramps that occur throughout your period."
