Girls, was this weird?

ok, so i met this really cute girl in one of my classes today, we had this paper we all had to fill out tell something about ourselves, blah blah blah, she comes over and introduces herself to me. we kind of shared this weird little laugh when we looked at each other. is that a sign she likes me, but here is the weird thing, i shook her hand, is that weird, it was the heat of the moment, i just dont want to seem like a weirdo. idk, i hope i didnt **** up. im in college btw, so this girl is a bit older.

not weird at all. if she came up to you and introduced herself first that means she's definitely interested. personally, if there was nothing special about you, i wouldn't bother indtroducing my self. and i think that the laugh was an indication that both of you were attracted to each other because you got nervous...

i don't think shaking her hand is weird, like i said. it's mature and women like mature men, especially when you are in college.

i wouldn't even worry about it. you're probably just thinking about things and analyzing the situation too much. you probably won't be able to tell if she likes you yet... but if i were you and you think she's cute then just make small talk with her when you have the chance. but don't be creepy about it, just casual. maybe you could play dumb about something and ask her a question... i mean if she sits by you. maybe ask what the homework was again or something like that.

and shaking hands isn't weird. that's the way american's great each other. good luck :)

No, I think shaking hands is just fine.. it's probably better than hugging... she might get the wrong idea. haha so you're fine.

You are fine!  Just get to know her a little better and when you feel that the it is appropriate ask her to go get coffee or breakfast with you.

Aww! How cute! It doesn't matter if you shook her hand or stood on your head! The whole interaction sounds sooo sweet and cute! She's interested! Just be you. That's what she likes. I married the guy who told me to "be good" when saying goodbye after one of our first dates. I thought that was sooooo goofy, but who cares! Everyone feels awkward and does goofy stuff at first. That's what makes dating so sweet!

It sounds like she likes you already. Even if she thinks you were goofy, she's going to like you more because she'll think that maybe you were goofy because of HER! That's flattering! Know what I mean? Just be a good guy to her. Don't lie to her, don't cheat on her, don't treat her bad. Open doors for her, walk on the outside of the sidewalk for her, pick up the check for her, call her when you say you will call her, don't pressure her physically, listen to her no matter how boring her stories may be, laugh with her, make her laugh!
