told you that he didnt deserve you and that he wasnt good enough for you?

either think he is tryng to break up with me in an interesting but nice... way. Or that he is fishing for compliments like wanting me to say oh of course you are and what not.

That happened to me once.... I asked why... and after about 10 minutes of trying to get him to tell me, he finally did... he said, "I'm gonna be a dad." (he had cheated on me) .... and so he was right... He didn't deserve me...

That was 8 months ago. A few weeks ago we started talking and I've decided I'm ok w/ being friends...

I don't know how this might relate to your situation...but hope the info helps somehow.

I'd probably be really sad that he felt that way. I would assure him that he is more than enough for me and that I feel truly lucky to be with someone as wonderful as him.

First thought would be that he had major self-confidence issues, then  I would go home and analyze it ALL NIGHT. Probably coming to the conclusion that he doesn't really want to be with me.
