  1. We're not married yet...but we've been together for a year and a half now and for about the last year we've been planning our wedding =)

It's a joint effort...it's not like I'm doing all the work and he's just sitting around nodding his head.  We've agreed on everything...I even have my dress picked out!  The wedding is still a little less than a year away and we aren't "officially engaged" yet (no ring other than my promise ring from a while ago) but when it happens we just have to make a few phone calls and it's done! All the decisions are made!

  2. we started planning that very day, because we wanted to get married in about a year

  3. We started planning right away because we knew we wanted to get married in 9 months.  He proposed in December 2007 and we are getting married in September 2008 (27 days away!).  We both always wanted an autumn wedding and since we are older, we didn't want to wait much longer.

  4. well im only 13 and not gettin married yet.i dont even know the guy im goin to marry.but i have high expectations and i have ideas abt my weddin!=]

  5. I started officially planning it within a month of the day he proposed. We were engaged for 8 months before we got married (long distance relationship), so I had plenty of time.

I kinda started on the day he proposed though... cuz I called my best friend to tell her about it, and let her know that I wanted her to be my maid of honor! =)

  6. I started planning about 2  months after we got engaged.

I had to get evertyhing done this summer because I am a teacher and have no time during the school year.

We are getting married in June 2009 and everything is really done. Just have to pay out the vendors and do invites.

Of course I have a list of little other things to be done, but the major stuff is taken care of.

  7. I walked around in a happy daze for about two weeks, but we had set a date  for 3 months after the proposal so after that I had to start organising things. Luckily I had a  husband who was keen to help with the planning.

  8. I got engaged 2 weeks ago and have been dress shopping (although there are still acouple bridal salons I want to check out before I make my decision) and have checked out a reception hall (which did not live up to expectations, so we're looking at another venue).  I started just a couple days after the proposal(we were on vacation when he proposed so I started when we got back).

  9. My fiance and I talked about a date the night he proposed!  We were both so excited.  We ended moving the date up like 3 times in the next 2 months until we finally booked our venue so it would be set (about 3 months after our engagement).

I bought a bridal magazine about 2 weeks after we got engaged to start designing my dress, and went to try dresses on within a month of the proposal.

My fiance and I talked about a lot of details right away (within hte first month).  But since now we have our date/venue officially booked we've really slowed down with planning.  We know what we want, and I've thought about the little details,  which he then approved.

We've decided that planning/booking/buying/ordering things will start once we hit the "one year to the wedding" mark, so we have until November until we really need to look at putting deposits on the photographer, picking and ordering invites, registering, etc.  I plan to get most of the decor items (not that much because I want really simple decor, no flowers or centerpieces) in January, because we're having a Christmas theme so things will be cheap on clearance then.

  10. I've been planning since I could think. Ha just kidding, kinda but umm pretty much the second after the ring went on my finger.

  11. I think that we were already planning the wedding before we got engaged.  A few days after the engagement I was looking for a dress.
