I had asked a question about this a couple of days ago, but I forgot to add the fact that I have a lot of hair! For example today I took a shower, had it in a towel for about 15 minutes then I combed it all out, left it down for it to dry up, and as soon as it started getting dry, my hair was no longer straight(how it comes out of the shower) it was getting wavy, and all over the place! Its frizzy, and I can move my head from left to right and all my hair will hit my face!

Ladies, if your hair is like this, what type of shampoo do you use? How about moose and hair spray? Pretty much with my hair I have 2 options only to do it straight(but its too hot right now to even do that) or to do it curly, but it still gets kind of frizzy, what do you recommend?

  1. Sounds just like my hair. Most of the time I wear it straight. I use Beyond the Zone Straight Shot straightening balm from Sally's Beauty Supply. I Use it when it's dry. Then I straighten with a professional heat straightener (one that gets at least 450 degrees) The cheapest one I found is called wet to straight it was $30.00 and it works.

  2. I have always had really horrible frizzy hair. I have broken combs just trying to brush it. Here is what I use.

First, I take a shower using Bath&Body Works Orange Ginger Shampoo. It makes your hair really soft. I don't use their conditioner. Instead, I use Bed Head (TIGI) Moisture Maniac.

I don't let my hair sit in a towel too long after I get out, but I wrap it in a towel for about 2-5 minutes. After that, I put in Sebastian Potion 9 treatment every 2 or 3 days.

Whether I use the treatment or not, I follow up with Sunsilk Captivating Curls Leave-in creme.

I finish off with Fekkai Glossing Cream from Bath&Body works.

Then, I blow-dry my hair fully. Next, I pin it up in 3 sections and straighten it from bottom to top.

I usually use a tiny bit of Fekkai Glossing Cream afterwards to make sure the frizz stays down.

    I guarentee THIS WORKS!

I was made fun of in grade school for my frizzy, huge hair, and now it's completely straight. The hair stylists could never believe how much hair I had.

However, if you want to wear it curly, use the same products and let it air dry. You can even style it by crunching it and make soft curls. I like to wear mine curly more than I like straightening it.

I was going to put a picture up, but that's probably going a little too far. If you want to ask me anything, just email me.

I promise you. This WILL work and your hair will be very healthy and never dry out. I have been doing this for about 4 or 5 years now and never have had a problem. Good luck :)!

  3. ummm i used to have hair like that and so did my friends. lol. well i use toni and guy products, also ummmm dove it.lol. well my mom work as a hairstylist for toni and guy i can ask her if u want. lol. well good luck on ur answer also hopefully ur hair.u could also try thinning ur hair it helps also.

  4. OMG my hair is the exact same way here is something that really helped no im not joking and this really works i was searching google and found this website that told me if u mix one egg and 1/2 cup or 1 cup of maynaysa (im sorry if the spelling is wrong) and u put foil over it and keep it in for 45 minutes to an hour it gets extremly moisturized the only thing is it itches a little i did this treatment 2 times befor.... also i leave in my conditioner and buy leave in conditioner its like this wet conditioner it works gret for frizz and dont brush ur hair comb it also for the thickness im telling u mine is really thick the only thing i can do about it is go get it thinned i hope i helped!

  5. Well, blow-drying it and straightening it would be the simple solution, but if it's too humid for that right now, try using gel.  I have some gel called Lots of Curls...it's just cheap stuff from the bottom shelf at Wal-Mart but it works great!  My hair is also frizzy/wavy/thick by the way.  So here's what I do:

-Use Sunsilk anti-poof shampoo and conditioner (Pantine conditioner also helps because it weighs down your hair, but it's not good to use too often).

-Towel dry, comb, and then apply some anti-frizz or anti-humidity serum (Garnier Fructis makes a lot of those products)

-Use a generous amount of hair gel and then scrunch my hair so the waves/curls form.

    -Let it dry

It doesn't make it perfect, but it helps a lot!  If it's still taking over my face a little too much, I just clips some of it back.  And if you can't find exactly the same hair gel, just get something that has some hold but isn't the super-hold, glue type stuff.  Maybe a level 7 or 8 might be good.  Good luck!

  6.   My hair is the same gurl. We are in the same boat! I'll take a shower one morning, and the next morning I wake up, it's still wet! That's why I straighten it. You can't get it wet though!

When it comes time to wash it, the curls come back, but it feels allot better. I dry it then straiten! I use Motions Light Shampoo, and Motions Light De-tangling Conditioner. It sofens, makes all the frizz go away, and makes it easy to comb and brush. You can get it at Target, K-Mart, Walmart, and Walgreens. Hope I helped! Good luck!

  7. I completely understand about having a lot of fizzy wavy hair!!

I had mine layered, thinned (using thinning scissors) and cut to shoulder length.

Now I try and make the most of the waviness...

    - Loreal Elvive 'Smooth Intense' Shampoo & Conditioner are the best I've ever found...and I've tried a LOT!!!

    - Always use conditioner, or occasionally in a hurry, use a 2in1

    - NEVER rub your hair dry with a towel - just wrap in a towel for a while, then blot it dry.

    - Comb though with the widest toothed comb you can find.

    - While damp, scrunch through some Shockwaves 'Twirl It' mousse

    - My hair takes hours to naturally dry, so I use a diffuser on my dryer and dry gently just for a couple minutes to tke off excess moisture.

    - Leave the rest to dry naturally and it emerges as a nice natural wave which usually stays frizz free all day!

Hope this helps!  Good luck and hope you soon have gorgeous locks!!

  8. Haha thats what my hair was like... I use any shampoo, right now I am using colour treated since my hair is dyed.

Check out 'Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum'...

Its a bit much, about $16 for 150mL but it is soo worth it!

My hair was soo frizzy before but now it is nice and sleek.

  9. i have the same problem...

go get your hair cut to your shoulders and get layers && tell them to thin it out... they thin it out by using a razor, and then just straighten it every day! thats what i do!!!

when its shorter and thinned out it only takes about 15 min to straighten.. i just got used to it!
