Girls-OMG!!!Smell of period!!?

Question

ok last year one of my best friends had came over my house,

b4 she knew she had her period and she went to use the bathroom.

after she finished changing her pad i went in there to pee.

the WHOLE bathroom smelled REALLY bad i had to use lot of spray to get the smell out.

i wanted to tell her but idk hows she goin to react.

i dont think she knew. i have mine and mine does not smell like that.

is that normal?

maybe she didn't just pee. i'm trying to think of the best way to put this. maybe she went poo. haha it could have just been that.

Sometimes it can smell bad, as the blood reacts with the air and oxygen. You friend is probably self conscious about it already. I think it would be best to let this go and maybe if she comes over next time, you just go bathroom before her and open the windows. She'll probably be embarrassed about it, so just keep it to yourself, it's not as if she's doing it on purpose.

Because of varying hormone levels some women's menstrual flows have different aromas.  It might be a hygiene issue or it might be that you have an overly sensitive nose.  Remember most people with body odors don't smell themselves like others do. (No, I don't mean running around sniffing yourself!)  I suspect what you in fact smelled was the used pad.  Blood does develop an odor when exposed to air.  My suggestion would be to keep your mouth shut.  I suspect you will hurt her feelings if you express yourself to her as tactlessly as you did in this question.
