This has been happening for a while now..

My underwear has been smelling a lot lately; and its also wet (but not thick)

I change my underwear every day and wash that area when im in the shower (every other day) with mild soap and warm water.

I always wipe when i use the bathroom (obviously)

But my underwear smells really strong (I can smell it even when my legs are apart) and its wet.

What is this? And is there anything i can do?

thanks

  1. THERE IS A CONDITION CALLED BV - BACTERIAL VAGINTUS(SP)

IT'S WHEN YOU AREN'T PRODUCING ENOUGH OF THE RIGHT KIND OF BACTERIA IN THAT REGION

  2. you must go to the gynaecologist,i think it may be bacterial or fungal infection.dont worry can be easily control by medication and good hygeine

  3. Honestly. Some women just have a stronger smell than others.Could be your diet. You should go to the dr just to make sure you don't have any infections. But for now you can take the supplement Zinc.It balances your reproductive organs and makes your sweat and discharge almost odorless.I've been taking Zinc for a year and now I don't even have to wear deoderant. I wish someone would have told me about this years ago.

  4. This could mean that you will get your period soon.  My suggestion would be is to buy some scented pantyliners, they are very thin pads and this will absorb the discharge and hopefully mask some of the smell.  It something that most likely won't affect you for very long!  Good luck and I don't think you have anything to worry about :)

  5. It just sounds like normal discharge.  Women are much more sensitive to their own smell.  I promise, no one else even notices.  Your period will probably start soon.

If the wetness bothers you, go ahead and start wearing some panty liners but don't wear them to bed.  Your vaginal area needs to "breathe" to stay healthy so pad/panty liners aren't wise to wear every day/all day.

  6. It sounds like you may have a mild yeast infection. I would see your gynecologist to get it checked out, but if you're too young/embarassed, your family doctor can help you too. Most likely he/she will give you an antibiotic or cream. If you're self conscious about the smell and you think panty liners help, go for it. I would stay away from scented ones though, as they are known to aggrivate yeast infections.
