Girls and Video Games... (for guys)?

Question

So, me and my boyfriend have been together for almost 2 years, and we are both into video games. We played them together all the time. Now ever since we both got PS3's, he doesn't want to play with me. He asks me if I'm going to get a certain game, if not he's happy cuz he doesn't have to play with me. It's not that I'm bad at video games, I'm actually better than him at some. :P But why does he not want to play with me anymore? For instance, when we play COD4 and I lose the round, he FLIPS. But its okay if he does it. I don't understand. I thought guys like when their g/fs played video games with them...

Lol I get pissed in COD4 too but he has to realize you cant win them all.  I think he maybe playing too much and needs some time off.

Guys flip out when other guys lose a round of CoD4, too... so I doubt it's just because you're a girl.  Sounds more like your boyfriend is just a poor sport when it comes to loosing (and being pwned by a girl probably doesn't improve matters, if you really are better than he is at some games... guys' egos are fragile).  :)

haha thats because you play a very competitive game. try playing a more cooperative game where you guys work together instead of against each other.

Are you saying that both of you have PS3s? If that's the case, then he has his own gaming console and only wants to play by himself. The reason may be because he doesn't want to play co-op and he may only want to get the adventure done.

When you lose and he gets angry but when he loses he doesn't get angry is very simple to understand. When you lost, he could think of a million things to make you have won. But then he knows that when he loses he couldn't do those things. Either that or when you lose yourself you don't feel as bad as if someone else lost. You would be angry at them.

If my girlfriend played more video games with me, I would be over the moon and around the sun. I would love it if my girlfriend got more into video games like me. But, that's never going to happen, is it?

By the way, nice gamer face. I hope it all works out for you and your boyfriend. May I suggest you get a Wii because there are more multiplayer games. You might get closer with the better experience.

Umm.. yoor boyfriend seems to be overreacting a little bit. It may be beacause he is a little bit attached to his ps3.  He probobly thinks that you are somehow failing him and his team when you lose the round. So either give him a little time to get bored of his ps3. Or find a guy who'll treat you better.

What you have to understand is that guys with video games, are very sensitive creatures. XD They're very competitive, and always strive to be the best. So when someone beats them, especially their girlfriend, they wig out. Hope this helps.
