Most professional male body builders who compete in contests do, many professional cyclists and swimmers do. I think women remove their body hair because they want smooth skin and when lotions and oils are applied they go on easier.

If the women complained to the men not just that some beards that men wear are uncomfortable, I would believe that some men would remove the hair from their legs, chest, back and arms if it was excessive.

Guys do, personally I prefer to have some hair on my body but I know that women dislike a hairy back so I try to get rid of it if I'm going to be shirtless.

If they started thinking so, then probably they will try to legally reinforce on men to remove body hair for the sake of equality..

Because men generally have more body hair than women, lack of body hair is seen as feminine, so it is attractive to manyh men when a woman removes her body hair.  Historically, some men have removed their body hair, ancient Greek athletes always used to shave themselves for instance.  But generally, I think body hair removal is seen as more of a feminine thing.

However, nobody, male or female, actually 'has' to remove body hair if they don't want to.  It's not compulsory, not in the UK anyway, though I can't answer for the USA.

personnel decision, For the most part I prefer to keep it short but sometimes if the air becomes static inducing I shave it off( my car's carpet during those times of the year create such a static charge it makes shock therapy seem like a relaxing massage, and sometimes just walking across a carpet... all in all don't care what others think, but if they say something sarcastic I make sure to carry something with me that creates a small shock.. hehe)

They shouldn't have to! And women don't have to, a lot of us chose to. I do it because I can't stand the feeling of leg hair rubbing against my pants, it makes me uncomfortable, I also feel it looks better. I don't understand why more men aren't proud to have a lot of body hair thought, I was under the impression that the more body hair a man has, the more testosterone he is in possesion of so he is more of a man because of it! I personally don't think men should be forced to be that girly. It's just weird for a guy to shave stuff in my opinion.
