I have not had s*x and the past 2 months my period has skipped.

I'm only 14 and my period has skipped before cause I started when I was 12, but I really want to know what the problem is...I mean people tell me i'm young and that it's normal as your young, but I started 2 years ago and I don't think that its supposed to be like that. I wanna know if it is truly natural and when is it supposed to come back?cause it really freaks me out yes I like not having a period cause its annoying, but I need to know if its a true problem...like is there something wrong with my ovaries or is it really cause I'm young?I'm confused

please someone help me and answer the question!

  1. If you are that worried call the dr and make an appointment. Are you in sports or anything? Sometimes when you are in training a woman can lose her period it is called athletic amenorrhea. Also severe stress can trigger the loss also. Best bet to ease your mind is get ahold of the dr.

  2. i had the exact same prob only mine went away for closer to a year, but i was never anywhere near regular anyway. But my mom asked her gyno and he said that it was probably because of my weight that i dont get it any more and its normal because im a bt 5'3 and 105lbs but then i was only 95lbs....so i had a really low % body fat and he said that if you dont have enough body fat your period will just kind of go away but it doesnt mean that anything is wrong i was reading a thing that said it was 22% but i know i still had my period when i had 22%pbf but it was irregular idt i lost it till i was closer to like 12%pbf.....so if you are really small or athletic, because athletic girls sometimes dont have enough body fat for periods because they have so much muscle instead, its probably nothing to worry about....

  3. If you haven't been sexually involved, you can't be pregnant, so no worries there.  It is, however, very common for almost all teenagers and young adults to have irregular periods.  Just because you have had yours for 2 years, doesn't mean they will be percise.  I have had mine for about 7 years, and they are just starting to be "wierd".  I have skipped a month once before.  Sometimes it can be from stress, just the way it falls on certain days (ex: last few days in that month and rolls into the next), or things of that matter.  Birth control can regulate your period if that's your problem.  But, then again, things could be a little more serious.  Just see your doctor to be on the safe side.

  4. it's because your young :)

    so no worriees :)

  5. yh ive skipped 2montes b4 if it skips again see a doctor

it is normal when ur young

  6. It's far more natural to skip a month or 2 in the first year or 2 of your cycles.

Yes, it's annoying to be off schedule and have to "be prepared" at all times.

You might want to discuss this with your doctor/gynecologist if you've been regular for 2 years.  No one else is really qualified to give you an answer or peace of mind.

    Best of luck,

    Sandi

  7. my best fried sometimes misses her 3 times before she gets it. she has cysts on her ovaries. you have to go to a gynecologist to determine if you have them or not. as for the pregnancy, get a friend or someone to drive to walmart and pick you up a pregnancy test. good luck hun.

  8. Are you eating well enough  ? If your not eating a balanced diet it can really effect your period.  I think it would be best to go see your dr since you've had them for 2 years now.I don't think there's anything wrong but it's best to get these things checked.

    Hope this helps  :)
