ok...i just want to ask, is it ok to perform prayers if you are'nt on your period (obviously) but are getting the whitish discharge in your liner/underwear? sometimes for me, the flow of white discharge is a bit heavier than normal and makes a kind of wet patch in my underwear (sorry for having to describe this) but is this kind of fluid clean and will i still be paak if this happens? also..if i wipe this off or wash myself, by touching my "private" area...does that break wudu? thanks and sorry for having to say all this nasty/embarassing stuff!

muslim sisters plz help me!

  1. well the discharge is classed as clean, as it is not urine but if you wash your privates first then do your wudu then you will be fine, the only thing that would break your wudu at this time is the touching of your private parts, so after you have performed your wudu and you get that discharge feel don't worry you are clean. bless you x

  2. Pray to God every day period or no period. Do not let people dictate to you ever. Having periods is a necessary part of a woman's life and completely natural not to be ashamed of.

  3. White discharge is called Luekorha, which means you are ovulating. Just wash it off and do wudu again.

Ignore the other women who are saying EW, they get the white discharge to, every woman does! They are just being rude to you sister!

  4. if you wash it off then you will have to do wudu again and it is best off to change your underwear hope this helped

  5. The white discharge is normal. You have some amount of discharge all through the month but it is heavier when you're ovulating or just about to. It is OK to perform your prayers when you have discharge, otherwise you wouldn't be praying until you reach menopause.

If you wipe and wash your privates, you'll have to do wudu again, of course.

  6. yeah..the best thing is to change ur underwear...

  7. Assalamu alaikum,

Firstly this is normal and pretty much all women get it.

You may notice the discharge becoming thicker around the time you ovulate which is often about 5-8 days after your period has ended. This is when your body is able to get pregnant and the discharge is actually there to help the sperm get to the egg easily (sorry to be so open, just tyring to explain - often women who have fertility problems and who do not ovulate don't actually get discharge). This is normal and does not make you unclean.

It will also often get heavier during pregnancy, as it protects your womb from infection, and of course if you have thrush or an infection it may be smelly as well as heavier.

Having looked into this myself I can say that the opinion of most of the scholars, this is not something that breaks your wudhu at all, although I have been told that some Shafi scholars say it does.

Obviously you may wish to wear a sanitary liner for freshness but even if you did not you could still pray without having to get changed or make wudhu again.

As for the second question about touching one's private parts, eg to clean them, if you have actually touched them, my understanding is you need to make wudhu again.

  8. yes my dear sister  i m agree with Sui

she is saying right just o wuzo again you are paak and haan its better to change your underwear then do wazu again

    take care

  9. Dont know about the girly Stuff But TOUCHING ur private parts Breaks ur wuzu !

  10. Does this not make you question your religion? you have to ask advice about changing your pants?

I would ask if your family /friends have not told you about the smell...but in your culture the stench is a normal thing .

Why dont you ask Alah or the other clown MoHAMed....its not embarassing , its normal.

  11. It does not break wudu and you should never be ashamed of your natural bodily functions.  They are all a gift from the great creator.  I'm a Doctor.

  12. No that discharge does not break your wudu it is known as tahaar in Alislam it is clean bodily function. Best wishes, salam sister.

  13. Well I've always thought that it breaks our wudu and every time i get it i've been re-doing my wudu. But people here seem to think it doesnt break your wudu which is good news for me cos I was doing it with every single prayer. If it wasnt for the discharge then I could go all day with just 1 or 2 wudus.

EDIT-To one of the above posters.By the way I have fertility problems and dont ovulate but I still get discharge.

  14. what wudu?

its totally normal , who cares what religion says be clean and happy

  15. Yes, u should wash it off, change ur pantie, or change ur "light days" pad   then redo ur wudu again. And yes, if u touched ur private area, then it will break ur wudu.
