  1. You could make cookies and decorate them as poker chips.

  2. You can't go wrong with Johnny Cash and poker night. And the poker chip cookies sounds really cute. You need chips and dip, and cheese quesadillas. Really easy and good finger food. No doritos or powdery covered chips, you'll get  your cards dirty!

Country music and poker do go together really well.

Oh yeah and that guy that sings that song: You gotta know when to hold em and no when to fold em. LMAO. Just kidding!

  3. make sure to stop at your local p**n store and pick up some naked men playing cards- will be perfect for ladies night poker party!!!!

I like the idea of having guets bring a dish to share- maybe you can make some meatballs in a crockpot/slowcooker (here's a really good easy recipe- mix one bag frozen meatballs with one jar chili sauce and one can jellied cranberry sauce, you can even throw in one bag of cocktail weenies since the sauce will cover it all) or else maybe just make some finger sandwiches on a platter- put a longer toothpick in each one with a olive and cherry tomato for a fancy look. Have a special drink to serve for the evening like a batch of punch or something (good recipe- mix one jug of orange/banana/pineapple juice, one frozen concentrate of OJ, and one 2 liter of ginger ale- very light and refreshing) you can get some cookie cutters of the card shapes (heart, diamond, club, spade) and decorate them. taco dip is always a hit (mix 2 pkgs soft cream cheese with one small tub sour cream and 1-2 pkgs taco seasoning, spread on plate and top with shredded lettuce, tomotoes, shredded cheese, black olives and green onion- serve with tortilla chips). you really don't need any decorations since its kind of a housewarming party also- maybe a fun sign on the door about "Ladies Poker Night" or something fun! play some good tunes (whatever you guys like really- even the radio is fine), make sure your house is clean and have a candle burning in every room to make it smell great!  MAke sure to offer your guests a beverage as soon as they arrive, have enough seating for everyone, keep all the food and drinks in one area, and you might want to borrow some folding tables so everyone can play cards- maybe make it a tournament say 4 girls at each table and winner form each table plays the other winners for to be named the champion- maybe make a special ribbon or trophie for the winner?

  4. we always have poker night and just tell everyone to bring something to share if they'd like and just leave it all in the kitchen and everyone can help themselves. i would just supply the drinks. music? we usually just listen to the radio and change it up and the night goes by. i dont usually decorate since we play poker once a week. have fun!!

  5. i like the previous poster idea about the decorated cookies like poker chips... maybe  if you have access to a place that blows up images.. look on the internet for the picture of the dogs playing poker.. and print it and have some one blow it up.. very cute... and then maybe the regular appt that go on the table... pretzels chips and such.. but then break out some really good appetizers.... chili cheese dip. taco salad... or maybe try and go pink... get some pink decorations and totally have a girls poker night... get food that you can make pink... i am so excited thinking about it for you.. i hope you have fun! ang good luck!!!!!

  6. make a fresh salsa and have chips! mmmm... yummy as for decorations.. i dont really think you need any. music.. something chill that everyone likes that can be turned a little low (not too low) but you'll want to ba able to talk without having to raise your voice. check out Damien Rice.. i LOVE him. good luck and have a fabulous night!
