  1. make one wall an "art wall" you can let her collage the whole thing

tent bed why not a canopy bed if she had a a bunk bed maybe I

could see the tent on top it's kinda a waste of $ because everyone I

know that got 'em didn't have them for long the kids got tired of them

    good luck

  2. She wants a bed tent?  So the two of you get together and make her one!

You tie-dye two double flat cotton sheets, then you draw music notes all over them after they've dried.  Staple both sheets to a slat of wood and attach to her ceiling over the length of her bed.  Drape the sheets over the sides of her bed, and POOF, you have a bed tent.

Aside from that, she can use acrylic paint/fabric paint to make designs on as many pillows as she wants.  You can get plain white pillows at Walmarts @ 2/$5.00.

She will only ever be 8 once, and the two of you can make her room awesome!!!!  When she outgrows the bed tent...just take it down and fill in the nail holes...no harm done.

Good luck to both of you!  Have fun with a terrific summer project!!!

  3. Go with the colors in the shirt as your accents/wall colors. Make the head of the bed wall your focal point in Orange paint. Do a small version of a tent using brackets on the wall to drape a contrasting stripe, smaller floral (matching the shirt idea) or a combination of both. Or, with some handy work, install a bigger frame to use more material for a bigger tent. Go with accents in the vintage era of the smock - rug, lamps, posters, etc. Incorporate her love of art, music and the easel in an area of the room - use the easel to set sheet music on, or back a poster to use as an art stand. If she paints/draws, etc. then move the music and poster away from this area! Bring in the brown and orange throughout using the tent material as pillow covers, a wall hanging, wrap a trash can in it, etc. Sounds like fun. Have her help so this will truely be HER room. Good luck, LT
