Question:

Girls: what's your daily make-up routine?

I'm starting college in the fall and just wanted to change it up a little bit. Can you guys let me know what your routine is, and what brand you use, and the cost of each item?? I'd really appreciate it.

Oh and what are some good make-up brushes that aren't too expensive? And how much do they cost?

  1. 1. conceler  - cover girl

    2. foundation -  im going to try L'oreal minurals foundation.

    3. eyeshadow (if any)

    4. eyeliner  -  Rimmle makes the best liner

    5. curl lashes and mascara rimmle mascara

    6. lip balm  -  soft lips

    7. lip gloss (if any)  cover girl, is my fav.

thats pretty much it, i dont really need to clean my face.

i like most drug store brands i find that rimmle london makes some good stuff, but some of they'er stuff its c**p, i really dont like maybalen the qualty isnt very good, cover girl is another good one... um annabelle makes some good eye shadows.

as for brushes i just get in-expensive, like 2 dollar brushes they work fine, no need to go out and buy a 20$ brush when you can get a cheaper brush that works the same. right?

    hope i answered your question.

  2. Primer- PHOTO FINISH FOUNDATION PRIMER $32

Foundation- L'Oreal Infallible Never Fail Makeup SPF 18 $13

    Concealer- Benefit Erase Paste $26

Powder- Cover Girl Clean Pressed Powder $6

Blush-  Nars blush in o****m $25

Bronzer- Nars bronzer in Laguna $29

Eyeshadow- The colors I use on a a regular school day, but I love really bright looks. MAC Shroom, Naked Lunch as highlighter, Soft Brown for crease all $14.50 and Backstage Pass by Lancome on my lower lashes $16.50

Eyeliner- Sephora Brand Long Lasting $10 and white eyeliner on my waterline from NYC in White $0.99

Mascara- Lancome Définicils ($24) and Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara ($19)

Lips- Stila Cherry Crush Lip and Cheek Stain $24 or Burts Bees Lip Shimmer in Raisin $5

All my brushes are from Sonia Kashuk which you can get at Target, really good quality for their price. The price you pay depends on the brush you get, they have brushes they have long black handles that run for more, and white handled brushes that are significantly cheaper. For more of a deal get the travel sets or cases.

  3. I'm fifteen and I prefer natural.

I really don't wear much - only sometimes wear make up when going to party/friends. But I don't wear it to school, as I'm there to learn.

For mascara i use: Maybelline (the one that's in green pink tube) and this other one from the Face Shop that my friend brought for me over seas.

Eye liner: I use Avon Ultra Luxury eyeliners. they're awesome! They have a range of colours too and they are dirt cheap.

Lip gloss: L'oreal colour juice for sure.. my favourite lip glosses ever!

That's about all I wear.. but I didn't put prices as I live in New Zealand and you might live in a different country.. so prices would be different, but all those items are nothing expensive. =)

  4. I don't know the prices of everything, so I will just tell you what I do and what I use. Plus, I don't know your shades.

    1) I put on foundation. I start with a liquid cover up (It's from Covergirl and is part of the Advanced Radiance line. My color is Classic Ivory). Then, I put a powder on over it (Also from Covergirl). Not a lot of powder, just a little so it looks more natural.

    2) I occasionly put on a light blush. I don't have mine with me so I can't tell you the brand.

    3) I don't like eye liner so I go straight to my eye shadow. I use a pink color called "Pink Peonies" and is from Covergirl.

    4) I use Covergirl's professional all-in-one mascara (the blue tube) for my eyelashes. After I put it on I use this brush/comb thing to take out any left over clumps I might have accidently gotten. I'm pretty sure it's for eyebrows but who cares as long as it does what I need done.

    5) I use a pink lip gloss or I go natural (without anything). It's part of "Ten Beauty" and the color I use is Strawberry Tarte. I don't think you can buy it separately from other tubes of it since it is small and came in a pack of four.

All that might cost you about 40 bucks or so. I hope I helped you somehow. Good luck in college! :)

  5. i use the maybelline deam matte mousseas a ase then lightly put powder on it... then cover girl eyeliner and i have all sorts of colors and brands of eye shadows and i use the maybelline volume express mascara... i dont remember how much they cost but my face hasnt broken out cuz of any of it and it works really well.

  6. I actually use a lot on my face, but I use them sparingly. I am a person who looks for qualities in makeup and a reasonable price for them. It seems like I would spend 30 minutes preparing my face, but I actually only spend 10. I am tan and my skin is OILY type.

Here are the items that I use:

    - Aveeno Reducing Appearance of Facial Hair lotion/ mositurizer $6

    - Target's Brand Boots Facial Toner $9

    - Smashbox Primer $5 (orig $36, but depends where you buy it, I got mine son ebay)

    - CoverGirl Original signature foundation $4

    - Almay Clear Complexion Concealer $4

    - N.Y.C. Translucent Medium Powder $2

    - Jordan Brown Eyeliner $2

    - Kohl's brand FLIRT! Sugar Daddy eyeshadow $10

    - N.Y.C. waterproof Jet Black Mascara $2

    - Physician's Formula Cream-to-powder Blush $6

    - L'Oreal TruBlend Blush n3-4 $5

    - MAC Fix+ Spray $15

I only own a few brushes that I found have been cheap. I do not go all out buying 30 different kinds of brushes for my face. I believe 4 brushes that are necessary for me are:

    -Kohl's Blush Brush $10

    - " Powder Brush $12

    - L'Oreal HIP Crease Brush $1 (found it @ dollar Treee..so proud!)

    - and a smaller brush from an Estee Lauder GWP, I don't use this brush much.

Here is my everyday morning routine in brief:

    1. Clean Face. Apply moisturizer, only where it is needed.

    2. Apply toner to minimize appearance of pores.

    3. Use primer only under my eyes.

    4. Apply concealer+ foundation under my eyes with fingertips.

    5. Apply cream blush on cheeks, and use Powder brush to sweep loose powder over it.

    6. Sweep powder blush over cheeks.

    7. Using eyeliner, line half bottom of lash line. Use Sugar Daddy (or any shimmer metallic eyeshadow) in the tear duct to open out tired eyes.

    8. Using crease brush and apply loose powder under the eyes to set foundation and to prevent mascara from rubbing onto skin.

    9. LIP GLOSS

    10. Curl eyelashes, apply mascara.

    11. Spray MAC Fix+ over.

Phew!! That was a long trip wasn't it?? =)
